Frogspawn Measurements Eggshell

Frogspawn measurement bring the viewer inside a measuring beaker filled with aquatic life, playing with naturalistic forms, creating a sense of shape and movement through delicate dot work.

From the series Fragmented Dialogues, each eggshell acts as a sketchbook page, a space to explore ideas and experiment with line and stroke. On a curved three dimensional surface all straight lines become curves and shapes twist and meet up in unexpected ways.  Drawn on delicate duck eggshells, each piece from Fragmented Dialogues has been mounted inside a sturdy perspex box with a mirrored back to allow all sides to be visible from the front.
